* Increase students? awareness about urban sustainability and active citizenship issues

* Understanding the importance of a rational planning of urban environment (city as space designed by man and not casual) and the relationship among urban environment, natural environment and cultural development

* Extending the personal experiences of the students through the contact with the physical, landscape, cultural and social environment of the areas involved
* Getting the school experience of the students closer to the problems of contemporary society and in particular to the challenges of society and of the citizens of the future
* Development of students? ability of analysis, personal working out and evaluation of topics and issues belonging to fields not included in their school syllabus
* Creating the conditions for an active participation of the young people to decision-making processes on which the planning and management of human and natural environment are based
