Welcome to Gudlav Bilderskolan!
Gudlav Bilderskolan is the municipality high school or upper secondary school of Sollefteå, situated about 500 kms north of Stockholm on the river of Ångermanälven. The name of the school goes back to the 14th century and Gudlav Bilder, a man who was probably both a farmer and a priest and who donated land to the church. Six hundred years later this land was subdivided to house the new high school buildings.
There is an ongoing effort to adapt the high school curriculum to the educational interests of our students and to the future demands of the community and the labour market. Gudlav Bilderskolan offers the following national programmes, all three-year programmes:

There are approximatively 750 students at GB as it is called in everyday language, including about 20 students in the High school for students with learning difficulties.
Gudlav Bilderskolan features the Solleftea Ski High School, integrated with the national programmes. The skiers attend ordinary classes following regular school subjects but they have four three-hour passes of daytime training a week. Three disciplines are represented, cross-country skiing, biathlon and alpine skiing. In the autumn the students leave school for different periods of time to go to training camps in the mountains. In the winter they take part in competitions at district level, national level and international level.
Internationalisation The high school is involved in a number of exchange projects with other countries.
